Administration of Levlen

Levlen should only be used as directed by your physician or health care provider. Also check the drug label for the correct dosage instructions. Levlen could be taken with or without food intake. However, if you experience any stomach upset, you could take it with food so that stomach irritation would be reduced. Levlen should be taken on the first Sunday after the first day of your period, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Now, if your period starts on a Sunday, you could just begin taking Levlen on that same day. Levlen should be taken at around the same time daily and doses should not be spaced further than 24 hours apart. Once you have already taken the last pill that is in the pack, you could begin taking the first pill of the new pack the net day. To ensure the effectiveness of Levlen, you would need to take it everyday. Doses should not be skipped or missed. However, if you missed a dose but you were able to remember it within the day that you missed it, you could just take it as soon as you remember to and then just go back to your regular dose schedule later on. But if you remember the missed dose the next day already or if you missed more than a dose of Levlen, read the additional patient information included with Levlen and contact your physician for more instructions. You might need to make use of an additional method of birth control like condoms. If you are uncertain of how to handle any missed doses of Levlen, try to use an addition birth control method and contact your doctor.
